Natural Hair School
The Alabama Board of Cosmetology requires completion of 210 hours and a passing grade to receive a Natural Hair Styling License.
BPH focuses on teaching natural hair care, braiding and twisting skills, sanitization and professionalism.
Cosmetology
Students enrolled in the Cosmetology Program will learn basic foundation of courses in hair sculpting and cutting, shampooing, styling, anatomy, sanitation and hygiene. The student will receive a total of fifteen hundred hour of instruction, both theory and practical.
Barbering Program
The Barbering Program prepares students for a career as a barber working in the beauty industry. Alabama School of Barbering offers Alabama state approved Master Barber and Barber II programs which combine both theory and practical training as preparation for license examinations.
Manicure/Nail Program
This course is 750 hours of instruction in applied sciences and skills in manicuring, pedicuring, and artificial nail applications. As a Manicure student, you will gain the knowledge and practical skills required to work as a trained nail technician.
Esthetics Program
After completing this program, the student will be prepared to work as a hair color specialist, texture specialist, cutting specialist, salon Owner, distributor sales consultant, and as a fully trained general hairdresser.
Instructor Program
650 Clock Hours (Licensed more than a year) 3.5 months
Program Overview & Career Opportunities for Instructors
The Alabama Board of Cosmetology requires completion of an additional 650 hours (Salon & School) or 1500.00 hours (Full School) and a passing grade to receive a Cosmetology Instructor License.
The Instructor trainees will be under the direct supervision of a licensed instructor at all times. Some areas of the Basic Cosmetology Instructor training are Alabama Law and Regulations, Theory, Practical, Clinical Floor Work, Teaching Skills, Preparing Student's Records, and Testing and Evaluation.

Course Description: Natural Hair Refresher Program is for those individuals seeking to refresh their skills, or for those that are required to complete hours per the State Board of Cosmetology to obtain a license. Students will learn the latest trends in cutting, styling, color, and everything else needed in the trade.
Program Overview & Career Opportunities for Natural Hair Stylists:The Natural Hair Stylist course introduces the technical and creative aspects of braiding, styling, and grooming hair that is naturally curly or multi-textured. Upon completion students will become State licensed to work behind the chair with skills in shampooing, blow-drying, brush styles, sew-ins, twisting, wrapping, weaving, locking, braiding, and all types of extension application.
